The first planned patch is scheduled for Thursday, 25th November, and it is set to fix some of the most urgent problems within the game. No more shenanigans with the Hovercraft in BF 2042. This week DICE has finally responded in an extensive blog post, detailing their plans for the upcoming weeks, as well as giving bits of information about future updates in 2022. DICE posted a work-in-progress version of the scoreboard, and while it does allow players to compare their individual performances to other players (as opposed to comparing per squad), players have still expressed concerns about it removing the amount of deaths.The community has protested the removal of what DICE calls 'legacy features' such as the classic scoreboard, server browser, and voice chat, but also the generally lacklustre state of the game, including bad optimisation, strange behaviour of weapons, design of maps and specialists. DICE is currently working on an updated version of the game’s scoreboard, matchmaking preference options, in-game voice chat, and further improvements to the game’s performance across all platforms. DICE also detailed several new features that it’s looking to bring to 2042 in Update 3.3, which it expects to launch in mid- to late February. However, these changes will be the first that DICE has made to actually bring XP earning back to Portal, arguably the game’s best mode.īut that’s not all.
